*The CBX's six
cylinder engine is a masterpiece
of technology. As beautiful as it
is powerful.
Six magnificent
cylinders. Fed by six 28 mm CV
carbs and an accelerator pump.
And each equipped with Honda's
exclusive four valve
Pentroof
® head. The
Pentroof
head uses four smaller valves,
instead of the usual two, for
more overall port circumference
and better breathing. Individual
valve weight is also reduced,
which means higher RPM levels can
be achieved before valve float
occurs. All of which means more
efficient engine operation at
higher RPM's.
The engine also
features an oil cooler which is
fed by a steady stream of air
from the spoiler on the front
fender, a maintenance free
transistorized pointless ignition
that's unaffected by dirt or
moisture and a high performance
six into two exhaust system with
upswept interconnected chrome
mufflers for increased midrange
power.
The CBX engine,
like the CBX itself, is one
of a kind.
