The
MFN Club -
Bikers Nights Monday and
Wednesday
cbx6.co.uk
enjoyed visiting the
MFN Club on Monday and
Wednesday night. Monday was
quiter but nevertheless well
attended by a few hundred bikers.
Wednesday night was fantastic,
with probably up to 1500 biking
enthuisiasts in attendance, it
regulary hosts 3000! A free rock
band was on, and this is also a
regular Wednesday night offering.
Your host is Malcom Allured - the
drummer from Showaddywaddy
who hit the UK charts 23
times up to late1982. Malcom "the
Gaffer", is a welcoming host with
a character that is Rock and Roll
Biker! Malcom and his team put on
a fantastic show for you, and he
has 7 acres of land around the
pub which is most spectacular.
Getting there, -
you soon realise why it's called
the Miles From Nowhere Club (or
Middle of F***ing Nowhere Club!).
The address is Shipley Gate,
Nottingham NG16 3JE. Punch the
post code into Autoroute or you
satnav, alternatively call them
for directions!
Finally,
we encountered a large police
presence (10th Aug 2005), which
is unusual at this venue. They
were after tax disks and MOT's on
the day, they were generally
friendly and told us that some
bikers had pissed off the local
villagers with their noise and
speed, so they were doing the
community presence job. When you
visit the club, keep the noise
down through the villages on
either end, there is plenty of
space and opportunity to make a
racket at the club!
