CBX Maintenance
Keep
the Bike Clean!
You would be hard
pressed to meet a CBX owner who
doesn't take proper care of his
bike, yet alone keep it clean.
But to state the bleeding
obvious, a clean bike will ensure
you get to know of potential
problems before they become
costly nightmares!
Clean
Up!
While the 6
Cylinder engine is as tough as
they come, it is important to
prepare the environment which you
will use to complete maintenance
tasks in. Before starting work on
the bike or engine, make sure you
have cleaned the garage or work
space out to remove as much dust
as possible which will cause a
problem when you get down to
exposing some of the working
parts of the bike.
Equip
Yourself!
If you are new to
biking, or perhaps haven't worked
on them very much - here is a
practical tip that will save you
1000's in parts, replacements,
time and effort. Make sure you
have the right tools for the
right job. Consult the service
manual if in doubt and if you
intend to start a job with a
dodgy set of tools - be prepared
to sacrifice more time, quality
of the finish and more than
anything else, the cost of
replacing broken / damaged /
stripped / chipped and lost
parts.
